Supplier Diversity

AHSCA's supplier diversity program is a proactive business program which encourages the use of minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, and LGBT-owned suppliers. The supplier diversity program recognizes that sourcing products and services from previously under-utilized suppliers helps to sustain and progressively transform the supply chain, thus quantitatively reflecting the demographics of the community in which we provide care for all. Utilizing more vendors enhances the supply chain diversification strategy.

Supply Chain leads the effort in accessing diverse supplier databases that can be filtered by diversity type, such as women-owned, African American, veteran-owned, and so on to identify and verify diverse businesses. AHSCA Leaders also attend diverse business networking events, collaborate with other large IDN health systems, share supplier diversity best practices with vendors, partner with certification providers such as the National Minority Supplier Development Council, and participate on the Premier Supplier Diversity Strategic Initiative committee.

We understand the importance of a strong supplier diversity program and the impact it can have on our local communities. We're committed to partnering with diverse suppliers in the procurement of goods, services and construction contracts.
