Clinical Value Analysis

  • AHSCA supports its’ Member facilities through a robust Clinical Value Analysis (“CVA”) methodology that serves as a clinical interface between supply chain staff, clinicians, and organizational leaders 
  • Mission: To provide a systematic clinical evaluation approach for acquisition of products, equipment and other resources to make informed Supply Chain decisions. 
  • Goal: To continually seek opportunities to obtain
    Best Valued Cost effective products to maintain
    and/or improve Quality and Safety ensuring
    optimal patient care. 
  • The CVA team is comprised of six (6) nurses with
    varying clinical backgrounds and leadership
    experience that facilitate a team-based approach
    engaging all AHSCA facilities
    • Organized around departments or functional areas
  • Each team has a set of objectives:
    • Product/supply/service standardization
    • Performance metric measurement
    • Process analysis and redesign
    • Idea exchange/network building
